One of the bonuses of re-registration is that we can visit our plots year round, even if the season is dark and rainy. With a little planning, winter gardeners can take home fresh produce from their plots during November, December and beyond. These photos were taken on November 11, 2014 and show spinach, arugula, parsley, kale, carrots and nasturtium flowers all waiting to be gathered by their plot holders. Other potential harvests I spotted around the garden included beets, brussels sprouts, kohlrabi, rutabaga, cabbage and several types of herbs. – Karen
